T.D Environmental Services was recently called in to undertake hedge planting in Maidstone. The client lived in a new build property that was adjacent to a main road. Therefore wanted sound suppression and privacy in the future.
The client opted for Thuja Occidentalis Smaragd. This is because Thuja is similar to Leylandii but is a lot easier to maintain. As it’s slower growing than Leylandii and will tolerate harder pruning. Thuja is effective as a hedge, and is perfect for screening. A Thuja hedge is easy to grow and is tolerant of most conditions.
On this occasion the client didn’t mind waiting for the hedge to mature. The size that was most cost efficient was just under 6 foot. Therefore they won’t have to wait long before it gets to the desired height.
